Hello, my name is Dr. Angella Banks.  I am also affectionately known globally as Dr A.  For over 13 years now, I have been committed to leaders in their development, empowerment, and promotion of pursuing their dreams and in their ability to transform communities locally and abroad.

Why now?  Honestly, the timing was not chosen by me, but given to me from God as in all of my other assignments.  In 2008, I was in management at Regions Bank.  As I sat in my office, I felt limited in my ability to truly have greater impact in which my customers needed.  They needed to have better understanding of products and services, they needed more lenient underwriting guidelines to gain access to capital. In my pursuit to do more and give more, August 15, 2008, I resigned and began my 501c3 tax exempt organization, Xcellence, Inc.

Why Leaders?  Today, I am approaching a combined 24 years of grassroots community development initiatives and financial industry experience.  Resting at the core of my heart is LEADERS!  They are the individuals who continuously come to the forefront of change and even in the worst of times, crises.  Yet, they remain on the backend, lacking access to financial resources and capital, to remain both effective and sustainable in their works for the greater good of our society.

It is TIME to finally have "Banking By The People For The People."
