LEADERS STAND FOR FINANCIAL FREEDOM
XLFCU is committed to EDUCATING economically distressed communities through financial literacy. There are wide disparities that exist in household incomes and overall quality of life primarily due to lack of knowledge, resources, and capital. Through our free financial resources, programs, and expert advisors we will change the financial health of the underserved.
XLFCU is committed to BUILDING our communities by providing entrepreneurs, start ups, and small businesses with access to capital, resources, and trainings. This will make their businesses more viable and thereby more sustainable. During the COVID-19 crisis, many entrepreneurs and businesses lacked infrastructural business designs required to get financial assistance. We will address these issues through business development partnerships, trainings, support and assistance.
XLFCU vision is for underserved individuals to LIVE in quality housing and neighborhoods. Our homes are a direct reflection of an individuals overall quality of life. Our mortgage division will be committed to walking our members through a step by step process to home ownership. Homeownership should not be for a few but for everyone who desires it. It is part of living the American dream. It improves an individual's life equity and shifts generational poverty to prosperity.

Why Now? Why Leaders?
Hello, my name is Dr. Angella Banks. I am also affectionately known globally as Dr A. For over 13 years now, I have been committed to leaders in their development, empowerment, and promotion of pursuing their dreams and in their ability to transform communities locally and abroad.
Why now? Honestly, the timing was not chosen by me, but given to me from God as in all of my other assignments. In 2008, I was in management at Regions Bank. As I sat in my office, I felt limited in my ability to truly have greater impact in which my customers needed. They needed to have better understanding of products and services, they needed more lenient underwriting guidelines to gain access to capital. In my pursuit to do more and give more, August 15, 2008, I resigned and began my 501c3 tax exempt organization, Xcellence, Inc.
Why Leaders? Today, I am approaching a combined 24 years of grassroots community development initiatives and financial industry experience. Resting at the core of my heart is LEADERS! They are the individuals who continuously come to the forefront of change and even in the worst of times, crises. Yet, they remain on the backend, lacking access to financial resources and capital, to remain both effective and sustainable in their works for the greater good of our society.
Come join me as I embark upon another challenge to serve our communities and its leaders! It is TIME for "Leaders to Stand For Financial Freedom!" It is TIME to finally have "Banking By The People For The People." If you agree with me, I humbly ask you to make a one-time or consider a monthly contribution. You can even make a pledged amount to support our movement once we launch. The proposed Xcellence Leaders Federal Credit Union will soon become a reality with your financial support and prayers.
